Our Agreement with You
By browsing, booking, or hiring with Love From, June, you accept and agree to the terms set out below. This is a legally binding agreement between Love From, June (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the person making the booking (“you”, “your”, the “Client”).
We reserve the right to update or amend these terms at any time.
A FEW DEFINITIONS
“Garment” means any item hired from Love From, June.
“RRP” means the Recommended Retail Price, used as the replacement value of a Garment. As all our garments are handmade, this price is determined by cost of materials and labour cost.
“Hire Period” means the dates for which a Garment is booked, beginning on the collection or dispatch date and ending on the agreed return date.
01 BOOKINGS
A booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received.
In order to book you must first confirm your hiring period with us via instagram DM or our contact page. Once you have finalised your hire period (length and dates) with us, please pay through our website to complete this hire. Please note purchasing via our website is only a dress hire NOT buying the dress.
Enquiries or attending a try-on appointment does not reserve a Garment for your date, only payment through our website in full does.
Garments cannot be collected or posted until payment has cleared.
Our standard Hire Period is 3 days, inclusive of your collection or dispatch day and your return day, unless we've agreed to something different with you in writing.
02 CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
We understand plans change. If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible as the timing of your notice affects what we're able to offer.
- If the client cancels before 2 months of their hire period we will issue a full refund (minus any processing fees).
- If the client cancels within 2 months of their hire period we will issue a store credit note for the full price of your hire (minus any processing fees).
- If the client cancels within 2 weeks of their hire period NO refund is possible. Certain circumstances may make you eligible for a store credit. This is applied at the discretion of Love from, JUNE., and supporting proof of your circumstance may be requested.
Credit notes:
– Are valid for 12 months from the date of issue
– Are final once issued and cannot be exchanged for cash
– Must be redeemed in a single transaction
If we need to cancel your booking for any reason, you'll receive a full refund minus non-refundable transaction fees.
03 COLLECTION & DELIVERY
Local collection — Brisbane
Local collection takes place in Brisbane, with the exact address provided once your booking is confirmed. As our hire period is 3 days, you must pick up your garment the day before your event. Collection times are arranged directly with us prior to your Hire Period. It's your responsibility to collect your Garment at the agreed time - if you're unable to collect, this doesn't entitle you to a refund or credit note.
Postage — Australia-wide
We post Australia-wide via Australia Post Express. Once your parcel has been lodged within our recommended sending window, we're not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused by Australia Post.
It's your responsibility to:
– Provide a correct and secure delivery address
– Track your parcel once it's dispatched
– Collect your parcel promptly on arrival
If a Garment goes missing because of an incorrect address or an insecure delivery location, you'll be liable for any applicable late fees and/or the full RRP of the Garment.
04 RETURNS
Local returns
Garments must be returned to the agreed Brisbane location by the agreed time on the final day of your Hire Period. Please don't leave a Garment unattended without our prior approval. Arrange your return time with us in advance.
Postal returns
Garments must be lodged at an Australia Post office by 12pm the day after your event, using the express return satchel and label provided. If your return date falls on a Sunday, your Garment must be lodged by 12pm the following Monday.
Please obtain proof of lodgement and keep it on hand until we've confirmed your return.
Late returns
Late fees apply at $20 per day for every day a Garment is returned after the agreed date.
If a Garment is not returned within 5 days of the agreed return date, we reserve the right to charge an additional hire fee and/or the full RRP of the Garment, treating it as unreturned.
Garments should be returned using the same method by which they were received, unless we've agreed otherwise.
05 GARMENT CARE & CLEANING
All Garments are professionally cleaned by us after every hire - cleaning is included in your hire fee, so please don't attempt to wash, dry clean, or treat any stains yourself.
To keep our pieces in beautiful condition for everyone who hires them, the following are not permitted:
– Alterations, including pinning, stitching, or cutting
– Fabric or hem tape applied without our written approval
Please note we recommend using clutch glue to secure your garments as it is water soluble and does not damage the garment.
– Self-laundering, steaming, or spot-treating of any kind
If a Garment is returned damaged but repairable, you're responsible for the cost of repair and any specialist cleaning required.
If a Garment is damaged beyond repair, permanently stained, lost, or stolen, we reserve the right to charge up to 100% of its RRP. This charge applies in addition to your original hire fee, it isn't deducted from it.
Any outstanding damage or replacement fees should be paid within 14 days of being raised with you.
06 GARMENT CONDITION
Our collection is made up of beautifully maintained, handmade pieces. Unless a Garment is listed as brand new, please expect that it has been worn and hired before.
Minor, reasonable signs of wear - such as a small pull in the fabric, a faint mark, or light wear on embellishment - are part of hiring pre-loved pieces and aren't grounds for a refund.
If you believe you've received a Garment that is genuinely damaged or faulty, please contact us within 4 hours of collection or delivery with clear photos. We're not able to consider claims raised outside this window, as we can no longer verify the Garment's condition on arrival to you.
Eligibility for a refund or credit in these cases is assessed by us on a case-by-case basis.
07 TRY-ON APPOINTMENTS
A $10 fee is required to secure a try-on appointment with us in Brisbane.
This fee is:
– Redeemable against the hire of any Garment tried on at your appointment
– Valid for 14 days from your appointment date
– Non-refundable in the case of cancellations, no-shows, or an unsuccessful try-on
– Required to be redeemed when paying for your garment
Unredeemed try-on fees lapse after 14 days and are not refunded.
08 IDENTIFICATION & DEBT RECOVERY
Upon hiring you must provide a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a drivers licence or passport).
By providing your ID, you agree to us securely holding this information for the purposes of:
– Verifying your identity
– Preventing fraud
– Enforcing these Terms & Conditions
– Recovering any unpaid fees in the event of loss, theft, or damage
If valid ID isn't provided when requested, we reserve the right to cancel your booking without refund.
If any fees remain unpaid 14 days after written notice – including late fees, repair costs, cleaning fees, or RRP charges – we reserve the right to refer the matter to a licensed debt recovery agency or pursue the debt through other lawful means. Any costs we incur in doing so may be added to your outstanding balance.
09 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Nothing in these terms limits any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, Love From, June is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from a delay, non-delivery, or quality issue with a hired Garment.
